Karl started making films at age fourteen with his Dad’s super-8 Elmo camera. After graduating from Boston University’s film school Karl moved to Los Angeles, where he crewed on various projects in film and TV. He's been fortunate to watch certain luminaries at work, such as Sir Richard Attenborough, Billy Crystal, and David Zucker. Cleaver's Destiny, his first feature, is a raw and honest portrayal of a teenage girl’s search for her homeless father. In the pipeline Karl has a gangster romance, an action movie, and a horror film.
